Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas - A left uppercut to the body by the two time Olympic gold medalist Vasyl Lomachenko (1-0, 1 KO) dropped Jose Ramirez (25-4, 15 KOs) in the first stanza. Lomachenko landed dazzling five punch combinations in rounds two and three. A thunderous bodyshot in the fourth round by Lomachenko ended the fight. It was the first time Ramirez had lost by a knockout. The WBO International featherweight title now belongs to Lomachenko. The Ukrainian is interested in fighting fellow gold medalist Guillermo Rigondeaux in the near future.
