Atlantic City New Jersey - In an undercard fight at the Revel Casino Hotel in Atlantic City as a part of the HBO Latino telecast, Frankie Figueroa of the Bronx, New York and once a promising junior welterweight was easily handled by Thomas Dulorme and lost via stoppage at 0:47 of round- eight in a bout scheduled for ten.
Figueroa, (20-5, 15 K0’s) attempting to make a return as a contender in the division had problems with Dulorme, (19-1-0, 13 K0’s) the astute puncher from Carolina, Puerto Rico.
From the onset, Figueroa had to confront low blows and numerous times the fight was halted so he could regroup. His best round may have been the first, as after the low blow, later in the round he got up and got the best of Dulorme.
Figueroa was knocked down in round five and also was deducted a point later in the round for a low blow.
