Anthony Smith (14-2, 10 KOs) was the busier fighter between the light heavyweights in the couple early rounds. In the third Seanie Monaghan (19-0, 12 KOs) zoned in and rocked Smith with a barrage of non-stop punches and which referee Tony Weeks saw enough and stopped the fight.
Jun Doliguez (17-0-2, 13 KOs) landed solid punches to begin the fight in the opening round. In the second Giovanni Caro (24-14-4, 19 KOs) absorbed right shots from Doligues and began to bloody up. It was a high pace fight for both fighters but Doliguez got to his punches much quicker. Caro hit the canvas by a Doliguez powerful right hand and the fight was halted about a minute later when Caro once again was knocked down. The fight was fought at the featherweight limit.
Mikael Zewski (21-0, 16 KOs) won by TKO when Alberto Herrera (9-10-1, 5 KOs) did not come out for the start of round six. Zewski threw the heavier punches and they took a toll on the brave Herrera who had his moments in the early rounds. The patients of undefeated welterweight Zewski paid off at the end.
Light heavyweights Trevor McCumby (13-0, 10 KOs) and Eric Watkins (10-5-1, 4 KOs) put on an exciting six round match-up. McCumby floored Watkins in the first round when Watkins gloves touched the canvas. Watkins returned the favor in round two when he connected on a straight right hand shot for knockdown. The knockdowns kept coming in round four when Watkins went down with a right cross from McCumby. The power of McCumby was the difference in the fight and won a unanimous decision with scores of 58-53 and 59-53 twice.
Undefeated welterweight Brad Soloman (21-0, 8 KOs) out-boxed Kenny Abril (14-7-1, 7 KOs) for a eighth round unanimous decision. Soloman displayed balanced footwork and counter punching ability. The scores were 80-72 and 79-73 twice.
